Every time I close Thunderbird and reopen it, I have to reapply my signature settings. This becomes quite frustrating when I shut down my computer daily, and the first thing I have to do in the morning is reapply the signature. There is also no "Save" button available to store the settings. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

Hi, The last month or so, probably after uninstall Bitdefender and using MS Defender, Thunderbird has become very slow in response. When tyoing a new email, it can take up to 5 seconds from typing to the letter appears in the mail. And toggling between mails can also take many seconds.

What can I do? The software is fully opdated, windows 11 on a modern Lenovo ThinkCentre with plenty of RAM.

Can you add a 're download 'function for a downloaded email? Currently, I often encounter difficulties in opening the PDF attachment of emails downloaded by the client, but there is no problem on the web email interface. When I delete the current client email configuration and re config and re download, it seems that the PDF has been successfully downloaded again.

I like to be able to either accept or not accept the remote content for each message, mostly I don't need it, so I don't want to accept it in general.

However, the yellow bar, which I mostly ignore, is quite distracting when browsing through the mails, so I would like to change the color.

I already tried several approaches with the userChrome.css, like linked below, none of them worked for me. I am using the newest version of Thunderbird on Windows 11.

mein alter Rechner ist "gestorben", weshalb ich einen neuen brauchte. Vom alten Rechner hatte ich die drei Postfächer, mit denen ich "arbeite" gesichert und nun versucht, diese in der neuen thunderbird-Installation auf dem neuen Rechner einzuhängen, schrittweise, so wie in den FAQs zum Thema Import beschrieben.

Aber: Die alten Postfächer/Inhalte werden nicht angezeigt. Sie sind aber im Zielverzeichnis ".thunderbird" zu sehen und an der richtigen Stelle.

Ich bitte um Hilfestellung zur Problemlösung.

Danke im Voraus.

I have been trying for 2 days to do:

1. Move the Thunderbird data base to E-drive from c as there is no space on C. I allow thunderbird to install - no option for data base location and it puts it on c-drive my default. I then copy all the files to e-drive and then it wants to re-install again. Same PC.

2. I cannot get mailstore to convert pst as the Outlook function in Thurnderbird does not or I cannot get it to work.

I am complete novice and this is all to complex. I live in remote place in Austrialian out back

I recently had some trouble with my e-mail that was supposedly remedied by switching from POP to IMAP. However, I think I fucked it up. Please see the picture. (The uppermost account is the POP, the lower the IMAP.)

Somehow many of the messages got duplicated or otherwise messed up in the transfer. (I have confirmed the existence of duplicate e-mails in the IMAP account.)

I think the simplest thing would be to delete both accounts and start over again with a new IMAP account that will just download all the e-mails from the outlook.com IMAP server.

Does this sound right?

Hi, Since my email was updated(thunderbird) when I want to start a new email message when I push 'new email' the new message page pops up. Every thing is there except the send button and the encrypt button is faded out and not operational. I cannot send or forward an existing email that has come in. I can only reply to an email. I have not changed any settings at all and this problem is both on my desk top and lap top as both have Thunderbird email. This problem just recently happened I think from the latest update

I have checked port settings and nothing has changed at all. I really hope someone is able to help. I am not a computor wizz kid. Help needed please. Thanks if you can help

Unable to connect to my ISP email server - Thunderbird claiming wrong username/password or configuration problem

Hi, I have been using Thunderbird for a long time and never had any issues until last Thursday. I was able to connect to my ISP email server but it ended up showing no new emails even though I know that I have emails as I am able to see them on my iPhone. So thinking that something changed, I removed my account details from Thunderbird and try to reconnect. The first stage, the detection of my ISP email server passed with no problems.

So after seeing this, I click on the Done button and then the problem arises.

Now to cover some other important information. I talked with my ISP and we checked the configuration manually that is shown in both attachments and they were completely correct to their files. No deviation in any manner. We trip POP3 and also IMAP settings and still got the same error as the second attachment. I and the tech support person from my ISP also checked the typing of my password, the original one and even the new password 10x. I also typed each character of my password slowly, just in case I typed it wrong having it visible to me and invisible to me and still got the same error as the second attachment. Also the images are from today January 29, 2025 approximately from the last 20 minutes. So this is fresh for an attempt to connect to my ISP email server, not just from some previous attempt.

Hopefully I can get a work around from the forum. Oh, one more thing I have the latest Mozilla Thunderbird that is available and that is Version 128.6.1esr (64-bit) as I had updated it before I attempted to connect to the ISP email server. I have done no uninstalls.

If I send a test email to myself from the new Laptop, it shows up on my phone and my LG Gram laptop. If someone sends me a new email, it shows up on my phone, but not on my LG Gram laptop.

My explanation might be confusing, for which I apologize in advance. I have Spectrum netmail. I recently installed Thunderbird; that went off without a hitch. When I open Thunderbird and try to get it to connect to Spectrum, I put in my full name, email address and password. Thunderbird then comes up with a configuration. However, when I hit "done," I get the following message: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password." I thought this was a Spectrum problem, but after inquiring, they told me it was a Thunderbird problem. I have attempted to connect several times and have checked my username and password carefully to make sure they were correct. I have also attempted to configure manually, and that has also been unsuccessful. However, the hostname (mobile.charter.net), the incoming server port (993) and the outgoing server port (587) are all correct, according to information I saw on the Spectrum website. I'd welcome any suggestions to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I had to remove an email account from Thunderbird and did not check the box to remove the data. I then put it back in but all the data is missing except today's emails. I followed the instructions for importing from a file, one minute it is telling me the prefs.js file is missing, I try again and after about 3 attempts it goes through and indicates it is successful but the files are not coming back. Any other ideas? I have attached the log. Thanks.

This has been going on for over a year. Ingoing port 993. Outgoing 465 Very occasionally I get some mail come in, strangely enough. All outgoing comes back as "timed out" Any clues please. John
